The Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (ASOHNS) Annual Trainees Conference will be held at the Hotel Urban Brisbane from 25-27 July 2011.
The Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, RACS, has determined that attendance at the ASOHNS Robert Guerin Memorial Annual Trainees Conference is mandatory for all Australian trainees SET 2 and above except those who have sat and passed the Fellowship exam. For New Zealand trainees, attendance is mandatory in SET 4.
The conference will include a diverse selection of lectures and interactive sessions aimed at Fellowship level, with current controversies and issues highlighted.
The conference is named in the memory of the late Dr Robert Guerin, an Adelaide otolaryngologist and past President of the society. Dr Guerin was the convenor for the inaugural trainee meeting held in Adelaide in 1990. He was a great contributor to the OHNS speciality and a dedicated teacher who promoted the speciality both locally and overseas.
